People Plus is celebrating their 50th “Golden” Anniversary this year and will kick off their Music in April fundraiser in April with a Gala on Saturday, April 11, 5-9pm at the St. John’s Community Center and the online auction kicks off April 1 with hundreds of items and runs the whole month until April 30.

Music in April is THE signature fundraiser for People Plus. It enables us to serve over 1700 People Plus members who represent an ever-increasing population of retirees and elders on the Mid Coast. This non-profit could NOT do it without the income from Music in April – which has become a fantastic signature event in our community. The Center has raised over $915,000 from the event over the last 23 years. In addition to hundreds of classes, clubs and meals held at the Center, we made over 1700 deliveries of groceries and prescriptions and provided over 33,000 miles of transportation last year (over 4,000 rides)!
